Chiragh table lamp B04 [Totem series]
Pickup currently not available
Chiragh means lamp, in the sense of a small flame that holds its own light, and this piece leans into that quite literally. Turned entirely from rosewood, it rises in a tight column of ridged rings before opening into a warm green base, the kind of silhouette that looks just as striking bare as it does dressed.
The red and green sections are hand turned and finished by the craftsmen at our workshop in Lahore, Pakistan, a relationship I have relied on for years. I bring the finished pieces together here and do the final assembly and finishing myself. You can choose how you want to live with this one: bare, with the bulb exposed at the top the way you see it in its simplest form, or fitted with a printed shade carrying one of my own designs, a vintage car layered under bold, overlapping type, reverse printed onto a clear sticker so it only fully reveals itself once the lamp is lit.
This is a one-of-a-kind piece from the Totem series. No two pieces in this series are the same, and once this lamp is gone, it will not be made again.
