The head is a piece of pink Himalayan salt, a candle stand form I designed and had carved by hand by the craftsmen I work with in the salt mountains of Pakistan. Lit from within, it glows the way pink salt does, warm and uneven, deeper red where the stone runs darker and softer amber where it thins.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eBelow it, a length of wood turned on the lathe carries the blue colouring technique you will see across a few other pieces in this collection, ring after ring worked into the surface as it spins. The lamp stands on a forest green aluminum base, a small anchor of colour under all that warm light.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThis is a one-of-a-kind piece from the Totem series. I designed the form and turned the wood base myself, and worked closely with the craftsmen in the salt mountains of Pakistan who carved the salt piece to size.
